Fish and Game Code Section 70 defines
"Resident" as any person who has resided continuously in the
State of California for six months or more immediately prior to
the date of their application for a license or permit, any
person on active military duty with the Armed Forces of the
United States or auxiliary branch thereof, or any person
enrolled in the Job Corps established pursuant to Section 2883
of Title 29 of the United States Code.

Fish and Game Code Section 86 defines "Take"
as hunt, pursue, catch, capture, or kill, or attempt to hunt,
pursue, catch, capture or kill.

1, 2009, may purchase one first-deer tag application and one
second-deer tag application. Tags are nontransferable and
refundable only if the season has not opened. Enter up to

Game for proposed zones and hunts).
Up to six hunters may apply as a party. To be processed as a
party, all hunters in the party must:

fax transmission, with the party leader's application on top;

Indicate party leader's name and driver's license, DMV ID or DFG
ID number;

Designate the number of hunters in their party and list the same
party leader; and

previous season are mailed season-long applications in early
September. Season-long applications are available from
approximately September 15 through November 15 and may be
